Epiq announces shift in strategy. |

| Epiq, the Diepenbeek headquartered manufacturer of electronic components, announced it would change its strategy, after efforts to attract new investors to increase the equity of the company failed. The company said it would focus on cost control and profitability. In view of the change in strategy, a very strong centralized financial and commercial organization will be created, setting up group standards for cost control, asset management and reporting throughout the factories of the company. The company said it was clear that automotive is becoming the dominant activity in Epiq, with 42% of total turnover. The company will relocate the production of high temperature sensors for car and truck exhausts to Bulgaria, putting 30 jobs at risk at its Belgian operations. |
