Firestone expands in Zeebrugge. |

| Bridgestone/Firestone, the Japanese tyremaker, is to double its Zeebrugge based distribution activities. To this purpose BFE purchased the existing Sea Park warehousing complex and the adjacent parking sites (28000m2+12000m2) and plans an expansion of 50000m_ in order to distribute out of Zeebrugge the complete range of tyres including tyres for cars, vans and agricultural machinery on the Continent. The distribution centre will then have an annual handling capacity of 5 million tyres. The building of the new facility is scheduled to start next October. Sea Park will continue to secure the handling activities and therefore signed a 7 year agreement with Bridgestone Firestone. |
