| Devgen, a Gent based privately held biotechnology company, announced the formation of a research collaboration with Metabolex, a privately held US biotechnology company focused on diabetes. The two companies are each employing their respective technology platforms to evaluate the other's compounds, in hopes of more rapidly assessing the mechanism of action and potential therapeutic utility of those compounds in diabetes. Devgen, which employs 90 staff, has to date raised 37 million euros from various investors including GIMV, KBC and Mercator & Noordstar. |
