DuPont

the American chemicals giant, will cut 4,000 jobs, or about 4 % of its global work force, as well as eliminate about 1,300 contract personnel and close less-competitive plants, in response to weakening business conditions in U.S. apparel and textile markets. DuPont’s Dutch and Belgian based units, which jointly employ 3.700 staff are expected to suffer from the measure.
