Pharming to end creditor protection with new cash.

Pharming, the Dutch biotechnology firm, emerged from creditor protection after it secured € 8.2 million in financing through a private share placement and new credit line. Most creditors had already given a positive reaction to proposals by the company trustee. Pharming received protection from creditors last year after failing to find a niche for its efforts to produce drugs from the milk of genetically engineered animals. It also sold its Pompe's disease activities to U.S. Genzyme in December in an effort to revive its flagging finances.
