Qiagen

Qiagen, a Dutch-based biotech firm, expects initial sales of 4,7 million euros this year from its RNA stabilisation kits launched in April as part of a joint venture with Becton-Dickinson. The company claimed that its PAXgene Blood RNA kits, designed to eliminate the unpredictability associated with RNA analysis, were to contribute to strong growth at the company in coming years. Analyst estimates predict sales of the kits could rise to 17,6 million euros next year and about 175 million in 2003.
