Reliant Resources

Reliant Resources, the U.S. energy group, said it was backing off from earlier announced plans to sell its Dutch based assets and is to remain a generator and trader in Europe, because it could not find a buyer, which it blamed in part on the uncertainty created by Enron's collapse. The assets were acquired from Dutch company UNA just two years ago. Reliant Energy Europe now announced it intended to expand in European energy markets.
