Dexia
Dexia, the Belgo-French bank, and Artesia BC have told their respective works councils that they hope to bring their branch networks into line with the Dexia model, which is seen as optimising both productivity and synergies. The Dexia Bank network is said to be star-shaped, with each of its branches managed by independent agents while Bacob staff are employees. The plan to combine these two networks has given rise to fears among the Artesia unions, which claim that they have not been adequately consulted on the various aspects of the Dexia-Artesia merger. The new entity, to be called Dexia Bank Belgium, will regroup Dexia Bank, Artesia BC, Artesia Services and Bacob.
