Accenture, HP, Belgacom, DAD and BPG win e-government contract.

Accenture, the management and technology consultant, has been awarded a contract by the Federal Government for the building of the federal portal site. The contract was won by a consortium led by Accenture and including HP, Belgacom, Brussels based internet specialist DAD and the Belgian Post Group (BPG). The contract is worth € 12 million in the first year and € 10 million over the next four years. Under the contract, the consortium is to build and operate a transactional site and to provide assistance to federal ministries and federal agencies with the making of content and transactional services. Accenture will also provide a helpdesk.
