Crown Castle Benelux

Crown Castle Benelux, a consortium comprising Landis Group (41%), US group Crown Castle (44%) and Lehman Brothers (15%), has been short listed for the purchase of Royal KPN’s mobile antennae towers. KPN said it had started due diligence with a few potential bidders for its mobile tower assets in Belgium, Holland and Germany, with the company striving for a sale-leaseback arrangement. If the joint venture bid is successful, Landis will manage and maintain the towers. Analysts noted the price for constructing a tower was some 225.000 euros and that KPN is planning to sell some 2,200 mobile antennae towers.
