| VRcontext, a Brussels based maker of virtual reality software, said it had developed a software that enables the visualising of massive and complex 3D models of industrial plants and can be presented as a computer game. VRcontext was created in 2000 as a spin-off of the virtual reality team at Tractebel Energy Engineering with the goal of developing and selling virtual reality software. In the past few years, it has developed virtual reality projects for major industry playerD-W2K-JSeering offices and operators of industrial plants frequently request more robust and user-friendly software. Vrcontext, which employs 6 staff, was created to satisfy this request. The company's strategy focuses on the production of a complete line of applications oriented toward the industry: HPI, oil & gas, energy, nuclear, chemical, pharmaceutical. Its investors include Dexia Ventures, Start-IT, Tractebel and the founders. |
