SBB (Société Belge des Bétons)
SBB (Société Belge des Bétons), the listed holding company of construction company Besix, said it was looking at the acquisition of a foreign engineering company in Eastern Europe. The move is part of a strategy to become a market leader in Europe. SBB recently won two contracts worth € 190 million in the Netherlands, including the construction of the new Bijlmer railway station near Amsterdam. The company posted 2000 sales of approx. € 1000 million.
