Seghers and Shanghai Electric Group sign technology transfer agreement.

Seghersbettertechnology, the Willebroek based technology group, said it has signed a technology transfer agreement for Seghers’ waste-to-power plant technology with Shanghai Electric Group. This agreement enables Seghers to supply waste-to-power technology under licence and plays an important part in Shanghai Electric's execution of the State Development Planning Commission's project for municipal waste incineration in China. Shanghai Electric is the largest group of its kind in China. It designs, manufactures and sells generating equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment. It specialises in designing and manufacturing mechanical and electrical complete-set equipment, is qualified to execute engineering contracts, and holds a grade-A certificate in engineering design and consultation. Shangai Electric pays Seghers a starting fee of approx. € 5 million.
